Styling Mistakes you need to stop making NOW!

fashionwardrobestyle

In the world of fashion, there are many ways to put your outfit perfectly together. But there are also a lot of ways to make your outfit not up to par. Here are some common mistakes you're probably making that you need to stop doing:

Mistake #1: Wearing Clothes that are Too Tight or Too Loose

If you're wearing an outfit where every piece fits perfectly, it can sometimes look like you're trying too hard. It's better to wear clothes that aren't fitted perfectly but still fit well enough for you to be comfortable in them.

Fitted clothes should not leave your body looking like it's been vacuum-sealed into a garment. If every seam and detail on a piece of clothing is outlining your figure, you've probably taken being fitted a step too far. Too-tight clothes can be uncomfortable or unflattering on any body type. From the perspective of those who are curvier, wearing tight clothes can highlight areas of their body that they feel insecure about by making them appear larger than they really are.

It would be much more flattering for these body types to wear fitted clothing on the top half of their bodies and looser pieces on the bottom half.

Finally, fitted garments lack functional flexibility in comparison to other styles: when you're wearing something very revealing or form-fitting, there's less room for movement and flexibility which might make some activities difficult while wearing these kinds of clothes.

Wear the clothes, don’t let them wear you

Adult human bodies come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, but clothing is often sold in only a few prescribed forms: small, medium, and large. In this sense, it’s understandable that you wouldn’t think much about how your clothes fit—after all, they’re either too big or too small. But here’s the thing: how clothes fit influences how you feel when you wear them. Clothes that are too tight are restrictive; they prevent full movement and make you look uncomfortable. Clothes that are too loose make you look sloppy. And both scenarios leave you feeling self-conscious—not exactly the best foundation for giving off confident vibes to the world around you.

But when your clothes fit just right? Your Outfit looks like a million bucks! You move confidently through the world with purpose and grace. You are on top of your game and ready to take on whatever challenges may come your way now!

Mistake #2: Too many Logos

Logos can be a great way to add detail to an outfit. But no one wants to look like they’re covered in advertising. Avoid these common logo-based styling mistakes:

· Too Many Logos

You are not a walking billboard so don't wear your clothes that way. Your clothes should compliment you, not the other way around.

While sporting bold logos can be edgy, it’s also extremely tacky to have them on pieces that are considered dressier or classier (like a blazer).

· Wrong Colors and Patterns with Logos

Keep it simple and avoid having multiple patterns and clashing color combinations in one outfit. This is especially true for logos because they’re already quite attention-grabbing. If you're going for an all-logo look, keep everything else neutral and straightforward.

Mistake #3: Mixing Warm and Cool tones in your outfit

If you're struggling with mixing tones, look at a color wheel to help inform your choices. Warm colors include red, orange, and yellow, while cool colors include blue, green, and purple. In almost every instance you want to stick with one or the other when dressing head to toe.

However, if you want to pop in your outfit (or to avoid looking like a human box of crayons), you can use neutral colors—black, white, and brown—as well as contrasting tones (cobalt blue and orange). If you’re still not convinced of its importance when it comes to picking out clothes, it can also be helpful when pairing shoes and accessories with your outfit.

Mistake #4: Not Accessorizing or Accessorizing Too Much

As you go through your closet, many of the items in there are probably pretty standard: a pair of jeans that fits just right, a simple black tank top, and a grey hoodie. While these pieces are great in your wardrobe, they can get boring when you look at them every morning. A perfect way to bring some life into an old outfit is to add accessories.

Scarves are a great way to add color or pattern to an outfit. They can tie an outfit together and make it look more sophisticated. Belts are another way to define your waist or add some flair to an outfit. Finally, jewelry and shoes can help define your style as well.

However, be careful not to overdo it! Too much jewelry or too many bold prints can distract from the rest of your look instead of defining it. Accessories should enhance what you're wearing without overwhelming it. The good news is that accessories don't have to be expensive; this means that you can update your wardrobe for less than $20!

Mistake #5: Too many Patterns or Textures

It's tempting to go wild with patterns and textures, especially when we layer. But we can easily look like a walking, talking jumble sale. There is only so much that the human eye can take in at once before it starts to get confused about what it's looking at.

The truth is that wearing too many patterns or textures at once can make you look messy and too busy. The more you wear, the more it draws attention to you—and not in a good way! Instead of using several different textures or patterns together, keep your outfit simple by mixing one pattern with a solid color.

Avoiding these mistakes while you put together your daily outfit will make you look very chic and effortlessly stylish!
